Barlborough Parish Council received a copy of the planning application 07/00148/FULMAJ Erection of a 60 Bed Residential Care Home on Monday 19th March 2007. The plans are available for viewing in the Parish Office in the village hall (mornings only). The plans can also be viewed at Bolsover District Council offices, or online by clicking on the link below in 'More Information.'
What happens next? The final date for commenting on this application is the 10th April 2007. However, comments may still be accepted after this date if the Planning Officer has not started writing the report.
Who do I write to? Bolsover District Council is the Planning Authority and they will make the decision on this application. Letters should be sent to Mr Graham Clarke (Head of Planning), Bolsover District Council, Sherwood Lodge, Bolsover, Derbyshire S44 6NF. Please make sure you include the application reference number 07/00148/FULMAJ.
What can I comment on? Comments should be made on planning grounds. Please see below for the General Guidelines for Commenting on a Planning Application. While many people have mentioned it, devaluation of property and social reasons (i.e. the type of patients) are not grounds for objecting to a planning application.

What is the Parish Council doing now? At the Parish Council Planning meeting on Monday 26th March it voted to object to the proposals. A Special Edition Barlborough News informing people of points they may wish to make against the proposal has been produced. This has been delivered to every household and business in Barlborough. When will the planning meeting be held at Bolsover District Council to decide on this application? The application is provisionally scheduled for the 5th September Planning Committee.
Can I do anything else? The most important thing is to make sure that your write or email the planning department with your comments. If you are only going to write one letter, make sure it is to the planning department.
